He was born on March 18, 1953 in Steyr, Austria a son of the late James H. and Georgina Ferrari Maynard. John was a retired heavy equipment operator in the Local Union and a 1971 graduate of Oceana High School. He enjoyed life to the fullest, including traveling, golfing and fishing. He made friends where ever he went and will be missed by many. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Regina Alfrey, a brother Jimmy Maynard, a sister-in-law Tammy Maynard, a brother-in-law Billy Redden and a nephew Chad Maynard. Those left to cherish his memory include his children Danelle Perez and wife Chris and Johnny J. Maynard, Jr., the mother of his children, Shirley Savage, a sister Tina Redden, a brother Donald Maynard and wife Charlene, nieces and nephews include Misty Willard, Christy Plumley and husband Aaron, James Maynard, III, Adam Redden and wife Jennifer, Ashley Clark and husband Shawn and Shannon Redden, great nieces and nephews include Allyson and Grayson Plumley, Tammy Maynard, Ava Redden, Kody Blackburn and Kollin Clark, and a host of other loving family and friends.
