"Pearl Beavers, age 90, of Atwell, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 7th, 2025 at her home in Dallas, NC. She was born to Lily Woods Mounts and Edward Mounts, and was one of eleven siblings. Pearl was a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many through her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family.

"She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George "Louie" Beavers, and is survived by her children, Donna Lowe Beavers and Georgia Beavers Salisbury; her grandchildren, Joseph Allen Lowe, Christopher Michael Lowe, Kyra Brooke Salisbury, and Amaya Danielle Salisbury; her great-grandchildren, Debbie Hicks, Everleigh Grace Lowe, Daniel Blake Gilbert, Stella Marie Gilbert, and Greyson Dean Kummer. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and many dear friends.

"Pearl spent much of her life working as a nurse in Indiana, before returning home to West Virginia, where her daughter Georgia was born. She was known for her selflessness, her compassion, and her ability to brighten any room with her presence.

"In addition to her family life, Pearl was a woman of many passions. She loved cooking for her family, holding babies, and sharing her love of music through singing in the choir and playing guitar and piano. She also had a deep love of travel and cherished the experiences and memories she made along the way. But above all, Pearl was a woman whose heart was filled with love for her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

"A service to celebrate Pearl’s life will be held at Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV on Friday, April 11th at 11 a.m., followed by burial at Short Ridge Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 6-9 p.m on Thursday, April 10th.

"Pearl’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her kindness, love, and strength will be remembered forever."

"Jimmy was born December 11, 1967 in Welch, WV, a son of Hobert Reed and the late Eunice Vanover Reed. Jimmy was an auto mechanic.

"In addition to his mother Eunice, Jimmy was preceded in death by one son, Brandon Ray Reed, a grandson, Chandler Marushia, and a brother, Ronnie Reed.

"Survivors include his wife, Angie Reed of the home; his father Hobert Reed of Iaeger; four children, Jimmy (Ashley) Reed of Clear Fork, WV, Christina (Jeremy) Marushia of Pineville, WV, Joshua Reed of Rockhouse, WV, and Kayla Grizzel of Indiana; nine grandchildren, Aalyiah McCoy, Karli McCoy, Noah Jay Reed, Conner Marushia, Charleigh Marushia, Carson Marushia, Alexis Weed, Morrison McCoy and Kaylee Powers: three brothers, Frankie (Sandra) Reed of Bradshaw, WV, Ricky (Robin) Reed of Bull Creek, WV, Tracy (Jennifer) Reed of Statesville, NC; special friend, Bonnie Salyers of Iaeger; and several nieces and nephews.

"Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, Wednesday evening, April 9, 2025 from 6 to 9 p.m.

"Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 12 o’clock with Reverend Russell King officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV; singing by special friend, Bonnie Salyers. Burial will follow in Reed Cemetery on Coon Branch Mountain near Iaeger, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
