Geraldine Joyce Kelley

1. Evans-Calfee Funeral Services; Pineville, WV; Posted Obit.
"Geraldine Joyce Stevens, 92, of Pineville, passed away peacefully into her heavenly reward Tuesday, February 18, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 5, 1932, the daughter of the late Kerry and Mildred Kelly.

"Joyce was her family sweetheart. Her marriage to Tom was a love story to be admired. Together, they faithfully served the Lord in area churches, most recently the Pineville Presbyterian Church as listeners of the Rockcastle Baptist Church radio ministry. Their marriage and faith have touched many throughout the years.

"She was musically gifted and used her beautiful voice as a solo singer in church services and for special occasions. Even when her mind became somewhat confused, her recall of hymns did not leave her.

"Joyce was petite and neat in appearance. She had the most beautiful smile and was kind and loving to all. She was completely devoted to her family with her homemaking abilities and delicious meals she prepared. She was the true definition of a virtuous woman.

"Preceding her in death were her parents, Kerry and Mildred Kelly, in-laws, Harry and Edna Stevens, her brother, Jim Kelly, and her daughter-in-law, Sara Stevens.

"Surviving family members include her loving and devoted husband of seventy-four years, Tom Stevens of Pineville and their children, Ginny Shirley and husband Rick of Saulsville and Dave Stevens and wife Tammy of Camp Creek. She is also survived by her sister, Gayle Cruey and husband Arthur of Hawthorne, FL and grandchildren, Letisha cook and husband Josh, Bethany Johns and husband Josh, Caleb Stevens, Luke Stevens and wife Lauren, Hannah Garcia and husband Ramon, Jesse Stevens and wife Rhian, and Libby Dillow and husband Kyle. She was also blessed with eleven great-grandchildren and bonus grand and great-grandchildren.

"The family appreciates the love and care shown for over a year to Joyce at Wyoming Healthcare Center. Special appreciation also to Tanya Sizemore Bailey and the Hospice Association.

"Family members will serve as pallbearers.

"Proverbs 31:28
"Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her."
