"Coby Lee Toler, 53, of Cyclone, WV passed away on Sunday November 3, 2024 at his home. He was born on January 3, 1971 in Man, WV a son of Randall Toler of Cyclone and the late Donna Toler. Coby was a 1990 graduate of Oceana High School. He worked twelve years for Southern Homes and in the coal industry for twenty-three years providing for his family. Coby was a very loved man by his family, friends and community near and far. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing and working in his garden. In addition to his mother he is preceded in death by his grandparents Kennis and Imogene Lusk, Jack and Letha Webb, Willard and Evelyn Toler and Joe and Vaunda Boothe, a brother Jackie Toler and a sister-in-law Delana Boothe. Along with his father, he is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-three years, Lavaunda Toler, a son Cody Toler and wife Ashley, a daughter Hannah Joyce and husband David of Hanover, two granddaughters Keelyn and Ashtyn of Cyclone, three grandsons Seth, Daniel and Ethan of Hanover, a sister, Amanda Morgan and husband Winfred of Brandywine, two brothers Dave Toler and wife Laura of Cyclone and Randy Toler and wife Tammy of Churchville, VA, father and mother-in-law Darrell and Dewanna Bailey of Cyclone, father-in-law Gary Boothe of Cyclone, thirteen nieces and nephews, a special boss/friend Leonard Nichols and his Coronado Coal work crew, and a host of uncles, aunts, family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, November 9th at the Cyclone Church of God, Cyclone, WV with Pastor Darrell Bailey, Rev. Scottie Lusk, Bro. Dave Toler and Bro. Joey Webb officiating. He will be laid to rest in Lusk Cemetery, Cyclone, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 5-8 pm on Friday, November 8th at the church. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."

"Terry Dale Ratcliff, 77, of Oceana, WV while surrounded by his loving family, peacefully left this life on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley, WV, He was born February 3, 1947, a son of the late Fred “Butch” and Hazel Williams Ratcliff. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who knew him. He worked for many years as a superintendent in the coal industry. In the years prior to retirement, he was a business owner with his wife. He loved to tell stories of growing up in the coal camp in Kopperston and all the adventures he had with his friends. He had a quick wit, an infectious laugh, and loved a good joke or prank. He took great joy in landscaping around his home and it was his favorite place to be. He loved his wife, daughters, and grandchildren beyond measure, and also his little dog Carly. He will be forever missed by all who knew and loved him. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas “Dock” and Ida Berry Williams, his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Artha Harmon Ratcliff, his siblings Glen “Shoddy” Ratcliff, Francis Ratcliff, and Janell Ratcliff Alfrey, and a niece Regina Alfrey Maynard. Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 57 years Margaret Phelps Ratcliff, his daughters Lisa Waycaster and husband Keith and Lori Cogar and fiancé J.D. Shorter, six grandchildren Chase Waycaster, Trey Waycaster, Ben Waycaster, Jordan Cogar, Justin Cogar, and Jaxon Cogar, a great-grandson Zade Cogar, and his nieces and nephews Duke Ratcliff, Sherry Alfrey, Phillip Alfrey and wife Jan, Rick Alfrey and wife Lynn, and Geneece Childers and husband Rodney. Funeral service will be at 1 pm on Wednesday, November 6th in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Wednesday at the funeral Home. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and son-in-laws.
