"Charles “Cuggie” Bailey, 87, of Iaeger, WV passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at his residence."Cuggie was born March 19, 1937 in Mohawk, WV, a son of the late Okey and Stella Cline Bailey. Cuggie was a retired coal miner from Massey Coal Company and a member of the UMWA.
"In addition to his parents Cuggie was preceded in death by one son, Jeff Miller; four sisters, Marvella Hunter, Lou Eva Lambert, Anna Mae Perdue and Diana Cantrell; two brothers, Freeman Bailey and Virgil Bailey; two infant brothers, J.B. and Danny Bailey; three brothers-in-law, Dale Lambert, Jimmy Joe Perdue and Pat Hunter.
"Survivors include his wife, Patricia “Pam” Bailey of Iaeger; two sons, Bruce (Lori) Bailey of Wellston, OH and Brian (Jennifer) Bailey of Coalwood, WV; one daughter, Anna (Roger) Bartoe of McArthur, OH; one stepson, Kevin Looney of Churchill, TN; a brother-in-law, Junior Cantrell; six grandchildren, Roger Bartoe, Wesley (Tommy) Yerian, Shawn Bartoe, Jerrod (Brooke) Bailey, Haley Bailey, Brayden Bailey and Madison Looney; eight great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter on the way; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mitchell Estep..
