"Glen Elwood Blankenship was born on October 26, 1933 to Rebecca (Raines) and Clell Blankenship in Freeburn, Kentucky. Glen was married to Nellie (Hunt) Blankenship for over 70 years. Nellie had passed Christmas Eve this past year."Glen was an employee of Consolidated Coal Company for 35 years, working at the Itmann and Roland mines in Wyoming and Raleigh Counties. He spent many of those years as the Superintendent of the Itmann 3B mines.
"As a devoted couple, Glen and Nellie enjoyed their time together, spending countless hours swinging in the gazebo or holding hands while watching their favorite television shows. Many evenings were spent playing dominoes or cards with their close friends from the church and neighborhood."
