"Kenneth Gerald “Jerry” Williams, 70, of Welch passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021 in Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY."Born August 1, 1950 in Welch he was the son of the late Kenneth Preston Williams and Helen Holmes Kerley Williams. He was a graduate of Big Creek High School, and received an Associate Degree from National Business College. He was retired from WV DHHR where he was a family support specialist. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 112 in Welch, and was a member of the Little Vine Baptist Church, Superior.
"Jerry always had a smile on his face. He loved being in the mountains and riding his side-by-side the “General” with his best friend Jeff Snow.
"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James “Jimmy” Williams.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Mona Darlene Williams of the home; his son, Kenneth Randall Williams and wife Elizabeth of Bluewell; two sisters, Beverly Runyon of Welch and Connie Martin of Premier; and numerous other family members. He was looking forward to welcoming his first grandchild, Reagan Marie Williams who is due in February."It was Jerry’s request to be cremated. A celebration to honor his life will be held at a later date.

"Mona Darlene Williams, 70, of Welch, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at her residence. Born October 24, 1953 in Iaeger, WV, she was the daughter of the late Oble Ray Lambert and Hallie Rose Lambert."Mona was a member of the Little Vine Baptist Church in Superior, WV and a graduate of Iaeger High School in 1971. She was also the Hotel Manager at the Count Gilu Hotel in Welch for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Gerald “Jerry” Williams; her brothers and sisters, Bobby Lambert, June Lambert, Ronnie Lambert and Judy Embry."Those left to cherish her memories are one son, Kenneth Randall (Elizabeth) Williams; one brother, Charlie Lambert and wife Sharon of Aiken, SC; three sisters, Sharon Tanner of Rock Hill, SC, Faye Bailey of Mooresville, NC, Diana Lyons and husband Denny of Fairfax, VA; two grandchildren, Reagan and Ryan Williams; special nephew, John Martin of Premier and many other nieces and nephews.
