"Evelyn Anderson 83 of Panther, WV went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at her residence."Evelyn was born December 14, 1940 the daughter of the late Elder Wayne and Elsie Collins Bryant.
"In addition to her parents Evelyn was preceded in death by twin grandsons, Glendon and Estil Morgan; her sisters, Eunice Dotson, Ruth Moore, Louise Hall, and JoAnn Lester and one brother Sebert Bryant. Evelyn was a member of the Mount Zion Old Regular Baptist Church. She had been a member of the church for 57 years and loved her church family with all her heart.
"Evelyn is survived by her husband of 64 years, Glen Anderson of the home; one son, Timmy Anderson of Gainsboro, TN; one daughter, Kim Morgan and husband Joey of Panther, WV; three grandsons, Kendall and Kathy Morgan of Princeton, WV, Jordan and Rebekah Morgan of Panther, WV, and Jansen Morgan also of Panther; six great grandchildren, Braxton Morgan, Emmy Morgan, Kolton Morgan, Meiah Morgan, Payceton Hagerman, and Ivy Jo Morgan; one brother, JH Bryant and Georgia of Hurley, VA; and a niece Jill Lester that she spent a many a night on the phone with; and numerous special friends and family including, Raina Toler, Rufus and Judy Justice and Lisa Stacy.
"Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 7, 2024, at 2 o’clock with Elder Lacy Justice, Elder Fred Bailey, Elder Danny Hurley, Elder Danny McCoy, Elder Danny Justice, Elder James Stacy and Elder Jerry Overstreet officiating at the home of Joey and Kim Morgan in Panther, WV. Burial will follow in the Bryant/Anderson/ Morgan Cemetery at Bullcreek, WV. Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Morgan, Kendall Morgan, Jordan Morgan, Jansen Morgan, Braxton Morgan and Kolton Morgan; Honorary pallbearers are Aaron Birchfield, Dewey Coleman, Will Gibson, and Tyler Justus.

"Tom D. Jervis Jr, 47, of Welch, WV, passed away June 24, 2024, at Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA. After a short-term illness."Tom was born February 10, 1977, in Williamson, WV a son of Tom Jervis Sr. and the late Opal Phillips Jervis.
"In addition to his mother, he is proceeded in death by his wife Virgina Jenny Jervis and his sister Linda Jervis.
"Survivors include his common law wife Christel Slone, his uncle Gary Jervis, brother David Jervis and nephew Jonathan. Three nieces Jennifer, Stephanie and Kayla. Three stepsons, Leroy and Jeffery Coleman and Keith Payne. Special brother Cecil Bowman and several very close and special friends Henry Dawson, JB Brown, Curley Lester, David Rowe, Cynthia Payne, Clint Blankenship, Cristy Atwell and Stephanie Marshall. Tom was a son of a Vietnam Veteran, and he loved the outdoors and spending time with his loved ones. He was a quiet but loving man who will be greatly missed by all his family.
