"Jay Randolph Fields, 69, of Gilbert, WV, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital, Charleston, WV. He was born on March 4, 1955 in Gilbert, WV a son of the late Jay Hatfield Fields and Kathleen Huff Fields. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by two daughters Maranda Juanita Fields and Allison Renea Fields, a son Jay Randolph Fields, a sister Charlene (Arnold) Harvey, and a niece Amber Marie Ball. Survivors include two daughters Crystal D. Fields and April (John) Hendricks all of Gilbert, a son Jay James Fields of Gilbert, grandchildren Kenneth (Jenny) Hendricks, John A. Hendricks, Alexis (Branson) Belcher, Jayden (Justin) Chaffins, Anthony (Cassie) Hendricks and Weston J. Fields, great grandchildren Malayah Chaffins, Macie Chaffins, Isabella Noon, Charlie Hendricks, Kenneth Hendricks, Jr. and Shanelle Swafford, two sisters Charlotte (Danny) Ball and Shirley (Jerry) Grimmette, an aunt Mabeline Marsingill, former wife and friend of 36 years Mary M. Fields, and a host of nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Monday, April 8th at the River View Freewill Baptist Church, Slabtown, WV with Pastor Michael Browning officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 2 pm until time of service on Monday at the church. In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated following the service. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home."
