"Larry Ernie Hood, 77, of Charlotte, NC, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. He was born on October 14, 1946 in Wyoming County, WV a son of the late Ernie Lee and Pauline Jarrett Hood. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister Betty Eagen and four brothers Johnny, Raymond, Paul and Roger Hood. Survivors include his loving wife Brenda Dematteis Hood, a daughter Kellie and family, a son Travis, a grandson Nehemiah, a sister Frances Morgan and family, three brothers Terry and family, Jeff and family and Rusty and family, sisters in law Freda Hood and family, Marcella Hood and family and Debbie Hood and family, a brother in law John Eagen and family, and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, April 23rd in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny, WV. Friends may gather with the family from 12 pm until time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home."

"Rick Browning, 66, of Greenville, went to his Heavenly home on Friday, June 14, 2019, leaving from Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, KY, surrounded by his loving family."He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford “Pistol Pete” Browning, his mother and step-father, Betty and Harley Hatfield; a special sister-in-law that he thought of as a sister, Leasa Ann Workman.
"Rick was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend. His favorite thing to do besides watching football was spending time with his family and friends.
"Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, his wife of 39 ½ years, Tammy Lynn Browning; one son, Rickey (Misty) Browning Jr. of Cyclone; two daughters, Michelle (Barry) Beaver and Chasity (Rickey) Hicks, all of Matheny; eight grandchildren, Mason and Piper Browning of Cyclone, Tyler and Dakota Beaver, and Alyssa, Madison, McKenzie, and Tenli Hicks, all of Matheny; one brother, Tater (Diny) Hatfield of Coal Mountain; one sister, Robin (Beavis) Scearce of Martinsville; his parents-in-law, Clifford and Janet Browning of Greenville; two sisters-in-law, Mary Maynard of Greenville and Kim (Mike Trent) Browning of Mason County; two brothers-in-law, Cliffy (Kristy) Browning of Greenville and Roger Workman of Christian; a special friend, Brandon (Kelly) Conley and their sons, Benji and Joseph, of Chapmanville; and many nieces and nephew along with a host of other relatives and friends.

"Funeral services will began at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at the Hunt Freewill Baptist Tabernacle with Rev. Donald Ellis and Deacon Danny Browning officiating. He will be lovingly laid to rest following services at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

She was born on August 21, 1972 in Mullens, WV a daughter of Pamela Wallace Hatfield of Matheny and the late Rickey Lee Browning. In addition to her father she is preceded in death by her step father Curley Hatfield and a niece Latasha Maynor. In addition to her mother survivors include her step mother Tammy Browning of Man, two sons Tyler (Destiney) Beaver and Dakota Beaver all of Pineville, three sisters Chasity (Rickey) Hicks of Matheny, Fran (Mike) Evans of Mt. Hope and Eva (John) Hatfield of Sophia, three brothers Rickey (Misty) Browning, Jr. of Cyclone, Lee (Roberta) Hatfield of NC and Allen (Edna) Hatfield of Beckley, special aunt Alice Barnett of Matheny, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousin and other loving family and friends.
