" Gregory Allen Roberts, 69, of Ikes Fork, WV passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, WV with his sons by his side."Greg was born in Iaeger, WV on July 5, 1954, son of the late James and Laura (Bailey) Roberts. He was a retired coal miner of 30 years and was a member of Sprattsville Freewill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
"He found great joy in serving the Lord and spending time with his grandchildren.
"In addition to his parents, Greg is preceded in death by one sister, Teresa Lynn Roberts and one brother, James Kendall Roberts. Paternal grandparents, Daniel and Nancy Roberts. Maternal grandparents, Halsey and Etta Bailey, and a special aunt, Don Jean Riffe.
"Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Roberts (of the home). Two sons, Allen and wife Ashley Roberts and Jamie and wife Ashley Roberts (both of Princeton, WV). Grandchildren Abigail, Gabby, Anna, Maddux, and Hudson. A special niece, Stacie Thrush (of South Carolina) and special nephew, Shane Roberts (of North Carolina). A special uncle, James Crandall Riffe special cousins, Trish and Tammy Riffe all of Colorado; special friend, Jim Keene “Bones” (of Sandy Huff, WV) and many other nieces and nephews.
"Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV, Monday, June 24th, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm with Reverend Clyde Endicott officiating and Brother Conley Goad reading the obituary. Following services Greg's body will be laid to rest at the Riffe Cemetery in Lower Muzzle, WV.

"Mara Marlene Powell, 68, of Iaeger, WV passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at her residence."Marlene was born August 23, 1955 in Iaeger a daughter of the late A. C. Powell and Lilly Stanley. Mara was a homemaker and formally employed at Pic Pac. She loved life and enjoyed hunting for mushrooms, and ginseng, gardening and bird watching.
"In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by one sister, Lisa Powell and the father of her children, Danny Lee Mullins.

Burial will follow in Lilly Mae’s Garden on Coon Branch Mountain near Iaeger, WV. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
