Born May 26, 1932 she was the daughter of the late John and Wilda Puckett Waldron."She enjoyed crafting, reading, shopping, watching Hallmark movies, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was the last living sibling of her family. Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt.
"In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Garnett Woody; two sons, Richard Woody and Jessie Woody; four bothers; and four sisters.
"Those left to cherish her memories are two daughters, June (Gary) Rife of Louisa, VA and Patty (Jack) McPherson of Vansant, VA; one son, Freddy Wayne (Janie) Woody, of Smyrna DE; grandchildren, Rob (Loraine) VanAerman of Galax, VA, Jamie Rife of Washington D.C., Christopher Woody of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jessie Woody of Lake City, FL, Richard Warren of Georgetown, DE; and granddaughters, Kim (Alex) Rappondau of Grand Rapid, NE, Stephanie (Mike) Deaton of Omaha, NE, Jessica Copes of Versailes IN, Donna Rife of Lewisburg, WV, and Janet (James) Williams of Spring, TX. "Funeral services for Betty June Waldron Woody will be conducted Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Jesus Church of Bartley in Bartley, WV. with Pastor Roger "Pete" Woods, Pastor Larry Ratliff, and Pastor Charles Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Keene Cemetery on Compton Mountain, Pilgrimsknob, VA.
"Active pallbearers will be Rob VanAerman, Jamie Rife, Mike Deaton, Dwayne Allen, David Allen, and Roger Ramey.
"Honorary Pallbearer will be Ken Allen.
