Grover was a disabled miner and a member of the Holiness faith."He was born at Dewight, VA to the late Worley Woody (1906-1971) and Eva Keene-Underwood-Woody (1905-Deceased). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a half sister, Frances Underwood-Perkins (1921-1957).
"Survivors include his wife, Loerine Waldron-Woody (1933-2002) of the home; two sons, William David Woody, and Jerry Lee Woody, both of Louisa, VA; one daughter, Sherry Woody of Louisa; three brothers, Garnett Woody (B. 1930) of Richlands VA, Swanson Woody (1941-1984) of Louisa, and Eulice Woody (1939-2003) of San Antonio, TX; one daughter-in-law, Beverly Woody of Louisa; two sisters, Alberta Woody-Lyons (B. 1935) of Richlands, and Stella Woody-Kendrick (B. 1924) of Raysal; and two grandsons.
