" Henry Lee Smith, 68, of Bethlehem, PA, formerly of Lundale, joined his family in their heavenly home on Thursday, February 9, 2017, leaving from his home in PA after an extended illness. Henry was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he was stationed in South Korea and attained the rank of Sgt. He worked as a Time keeper for Island Creek Coal Company. Henry was a member of the Man Church of God. He enjoyed spending time with his family."He was born on September 30, 1948, at Maitland, a son of the late Eugene Smith Sr. (1916-1997) and Mildred Marie Buchanan-Smith (1926-2012). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen Marie "Kathy" Smith-Bellomy (Deceased); his grandparents, Roy Buchanan (1892-1976) and Barbara E. Hurst-Buchanan (1907-1995) and John Smith (Deceased) and Marie Smith (Deceased); and his granddaughter, Gabrielle Adkins (Deceased).
"Those left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Kristie Smith-Frye & husband Terrill Frye of Bethlehem, PA with whom he made his home, Kerri Smith-Cullars & husband Chris Cullars of Ashland, AL, and Kelli Smith-Phillips & husband Bob Phillips of Nazareth, PA; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene Smith Jr. & wife Ruby Smith of Morristown, TN and Jerry Smith & wife Taew Smith of Lorado; a special friend who was like a brother, Andy Jack Lawrence of SC; and several nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
"Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Sunday, February 12, 2017, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Robert "Bobby" Maxwell, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Sparks Cemetery at Bradshaw."
