He had made his home in the Doran, Virginia area for the past 25 years and was retired from Jewell Smokeless Coal Corporation."He was born on November 17, 1930 in Bartley, WV to the late Jacob Kent Gross (Deceased) and Stella B. Estep -Gross (1912-1991), both Bartley, WV natives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Ann Gross (1936-1994); two sisters; and one brother.
"Survivors include a son, Tommy Gross of TN; five sisters, Katherine Gross-Bowman of War, WV, Gladys Gross-Akers of Raven, VV, Margaret Gross-Tolliver of Raysal, WV, Beatrice Faye Gross-Christian of Eckman, WV, and Brenda Gross-Linkous of Beckley, WV; one brother, Rev.
