"Butch was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers, traveling and hunting at his camp in Hardy County. He enjoyed hanging out at the Pineville Police Department for morning coffee and assisting the Pineville Volunteer Fire Department. He also loved to stand by the road to watch traffic and wave to passersby.
"In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by three of his brothers, Ernest Browning, Freddie Browning, and Darrell Browning, and his sister, Brenda Browning Isom.
"Those left to cherish his memory are his two brothers, Benny Browning of Rural Retreat, VA and Ronnie Browning and wife Lou of Pineville and a host of family and friends."
