"Linda Gay Bailey, 78 of Statesville NC, formerly of Iaeger, WV, departed this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 surrounded by Family and friends at Wake Forest University Medical Center, in Winston Salem NC.

"She was born July 24, 1945 at Avondale WV, to the late Theodore R Muncy and Goldie White Muncy. In addition to her parents Linda was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Rickrode, and a brother, Bobby Muncy.

"Linda was a good-hearted Christian who loved spending time with her friends and family and working in her yard and flowers. Linda also enjoyed spending time with her dogs, Benji and Bojangles.

"She is survived by her loving husband Tommy and her son Bradley (Brandi) Goff, sons Edward (Jamie) Bailey, David, (Phinix) Bailey, special daughter Brenda (Bill) Turnmier grandsons Mason Goff, Hunter Bailey, and granddaughter Hope Bailey, special grandson Zachary Turnmier, her sister Wooline Lester and nieces Stephanie and Jill.

"Linda was a dedicated teacher, having worked for the McDowell County Board of education and the students of McDowell County for over 50 years. Linda held a master’s degree in education and spent her last working years in Special Education

"Her family invites her friends in North Carolina to join them in a celebration of her life at the Troutman Funeral Home from 3:00 to 5:00 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2024. Her committal service will take place on Sunday, February 18, 2024 in the mausoleum at Rose Lawn cemetery, Princeton WV, at 2:00pm with the Rev Daniel Dean officiating. Members of Linda's family and friends will carry her to her resting place.

Ray Edward Stanley

"Ray Edward Stanley, 72, of Iaeger WV, transitioned from this life to his Heavenly Home Tuesday, February 6.

"Ray Resided in Iaeger for most of his life, and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a dedicated Christian who knew Jesus as His friend, Lord, and Savior.

"He was a talented musician, playing the guitar in church for many years and leaving most people to say, “ he is the best guitar player I have ever heard”. He was an avid Bible reader, and well learned In His Bible. He loved reading God’s word, and applying it to his life. He was a devoted husband and father and was immensely proud of his family. Ray was an excellent provider taking care of his family and always putting others needs before his own.

"His kindness and compassion for others was unmatched and he was known widely for taking care of stray animals and feeding any animals that were hungry.

"He was proceeded in death by his parents, Macel and Arlene Stanley. He is survived by his immediate family, wife- Elaine Stanley, and sons, Josh and Kevin. He is also survived by his sister- Mary Lowery, and niece, Lindsey Workman.

"We know that this is not a goodbye, but a temporary separation until we meet again in Heaven. Ray would always refer to the time when he would transition to Heaven as, “just going away with a friend”. While we travel here on earth, we are walking each other home.

"In keeping with Ray’s requests his body will be cremated and there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be planned and announced at a later date.

"The family wishes to thank everyone that has sent their love and condolences and pray that God blesses each of you."

"Susan Eva Conyers, 72, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, in Iaeger, West Virginia.

"Susan was born on February 21, 1951, to Donald and Geraldine Craig, in Elgin, Illinois. She is survived by her husband Billy Conyers three sisters; Helen Montanez of Rockford, Illinois, Donna Smart of Harvard, Illinois and Marie Tallion of Carpentersville, Illinois; one child, Rhonda Justice Hotaling of Jacksonville, FL and five grandchildren; Tori Conyers of Beckley, West Virginia, Jacob Conyers of Iaeger, WV, Jody Worthington of Iaeger, West Virginia, Angel Worthington of War, West Virginia, Faith Worthington of Princeton, West Virginia. Jesse Stout of Jacksonville, Florida and Joseph Stout of Jacksonville, Florida.

"Susan was preceded in death by her first husband Ronnie Langene Justice, her parents and three children; Benjamin Joseph Justice, Jennifer Agnes Worthington and Jolene Nadine Justice.

"Susan retired as a teacher’s aide for special needs children at Iaeger Elementary.

"Per her wishes, no burial services will be held. A memorial will be held on February 24th at 11:00 am at Fannings Funeral Home in Iaeger, West Virginia."
