"Ricky Lon Belcher, 71 years of age of Grundy, VA, passed away Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Holston Valley Medical Center. Born October 10, 1945 in Harman, VA, he was the son of the late Bart Belcher, Jr. and Dollie Owens Belcher."Ricky was a faithful Christian and of the Pentecostal faith. He attended several churches in the county, loved children and was considered Daddy Day Care of the churches. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and tinkering on everything. A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
"In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Elsie O’Quinn, brothers Moscoe, Otto, Johnny, Donnie and Michael Belcher.
"Survivors include his loving wife of fifty-one years and nine months, Ruby Ann Ratliff Belcher of Grundy, VA; daughters Kimberly Ann Stiltner and husband Craig of Grundy, VA, Bonnesha Sue Hackney and husband Greg of Maxie, VA; sisters Velcie Elswick, Patsy Shortridge and Mickey Stiltner all of Abingdon, VA, Sue McKinney of Telford, TN and Lois Strunk of OH.
