"Evelyn Faye Rose Lester, 76, of Creston, NC passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Ash Memorial Hospital in Jefferson, NC."Evelyn was born July 12, 1947 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Troy and Delta Pruitt Rose.
"In addition to her parents Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Taylor Lester; one brother, Troy Lee Rose and one sister, Gloria June Rose.
"Survivors include her son Mark Anthony Lester of the home; three brothers Benny (Crystal) Rose, Allen (Faye) Rose, and Tim (Bonnie) Rose; three sisters, Arlene (Bill) Scott, Glenna (Elzie) Hicks and Ann Reeves; and numerous nieces and nephews.
"Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 12 o’clock, with Speakers Merle Pruitt and Doug Lowe officiating at the Mt. Carmel Church of Christ on Atwell Mountain near Atwell, WV. Burial will follow in the Riffe Cemetery on Atwell Mountain. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
