"Betty Jane (Adkins) DeLong 52 of Herndon Heights formally of Keyrock passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends at Raleigh General Hospital on Thursday November 23, 2023 following a sudden illness."Born on April 8,1971 in Welch she is the daughter to Bobby Joe Adkins and Frances Margaret Tolliver Sims. Betty was a true gem whose laugh and beautiful smile would light up any room she walked into. She loved to play games at Christmas, and we will continue her traditions through the years in memory of her, she had a heart of gold and would give you her last penny if she knew it was helping loved ones, especially her family.
"Betty was a 1991 Pineville High School graduate, who attended Valley College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administrative. She worked at the Wyoming Nursing & Rehabilitation as the activity director who loved planning events for the residents, she loved walking into the rooms and just sitting with them, talking about their day.
