"Michael R. “Hawkey” Justice, 56, of Roderfield, WV, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023."Michael was born October 18, 1966, in Welch, WV a son of Lona Keaton Justice and the late John R. Justice. Michael enjoyed fighting chickens.
"In addition to his father, John R. Justice, Michael was preceded in death by his first wife, Opal Faye Justice and a daughter, Bonnie Faye Justice.
"Survivors include his mother, Lona Justice of Panther; his wife Cynthia Justice of the home; three children, Troy Justice and wife Melanie of Panther, Shawn Justice and Michael KC Justice both of Roderfield; three grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua and Bentley; two stepsons, Kenneth Hatfield of Gilbert and Brandon Hatfield also of Gilbert; three step grandchildren, Dalton, Chloe and Brody Hatfield; five brothers, Bill Justice and Joan of Panther, Rex Justice, and Ronald Justice both of Panther, Thurman Justice and wife Maxine of Monroe County, and Keith Justice of Panther; and one sister, Regina Steele of Monroe County.
"Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 12 noon with Elder Fred Bailey, Elder Arthur Short and Elder Dallas Dotson officiating at the Little Zion Old Regular Baptist Church at Greenbrier near Panther. Burial will follow in the Floyd Justice Cemetery at Guesses Fork, VA. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
