"James "Jim" T. Lane, age 77, of Northfork, WV, died March 20, 2012 at his residence. He was born December 24, 1934 in Elbert, WV. He was the son of the late David Lane and Eliza Emmert Kile. He was affiliated with the Protestant Faith. He was a graduate of Gary High School, class of 1952. He received his Bachelors Degree in 1956 from Marshall University, and later he received his Degree in Teaching from West Virginia University."James T. Lane was a McDowell County Educator, he taught at Gary High School for eight years. He was Principal at Big Creek High School for four years, and was Principal at Northfork High School for 21 years. He loved playing golf, and was an avid golfer for the past 52 years.
"Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; Louis Lane, two sisters; Nettie Thomas and Dorothy Crites. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nancy Hughes Lane of Surfside Beach, SC; two sons; James David Lane of Las Vegas, NV; and William Allen Lane of Butner, NC; four nephews; Robert "Bob" Thomas and wife Gloria of Pensacola, FL; Phillip Thomas and wife Dawn of Cleveland, TN; Larry Lane and wife JoAnn of Welch, WV; one niece; Brenda Reed and husband Carl of Brushfork, WV.
