"Betty Jean Prevento Wiseman, 81 of Hemphill, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 7, 2023. Born June 11, 1941 in Mohegan, WV, she was the daughter of the late Albert George and Margaret Elizabeth Prevento. She retired from Luiginos in Jackson, Ohio in 2006 to care for her dad. She was a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved all her family very much. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, and making quilts for her family members."In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glendon O. Wiseman, her brother, Billy Gene Prevento, and her sister, Nancy Bakke. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert (Linda) Prevento, Michael (Christy) Wiseman, Keith (Buffy) Wiseman, and Charlie (Stephanie) Wiseman. Daughters, Kathy (Randy) Motsch and Shelia (Mike) Williams. She had 17 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Brothers, Melvin, Albert and Jerry Prevento. Sisters, Bonnie Stroupe, Marcy (Phil) Minicleri, Georgia Howard, and Sandy (Ronnie) Dixon. She had numerous nieces and nephews.

She was a member and Past Matron of Florence Ann Chapter No. 133, Order of the Eastern Star, Grundy, Va., and received her 50 year pin. She was also a Charter member of the International Order of Job’s Daughters and Past President of Buchanan County Senior Citizens Bowling League.
