"Danny Edward Hatfield, 65, of Grundy, VA, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY. He was born on May 24, 1957 in Welch, WV a son of the late Don Hatfield and the late Laura (step father Bobby) Daugherty. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Darlene Hatfield, paternal and maternal grandparents, brothers Bruce Daugherty, Julice Daugherty and Lil” Don Hatfield, a sister Lana Turner, and his loving mother-in-law Gloria Powell. Survivors include two daughters Tawnya (Lukie) Thomas of Grundy, VA and Tiffany (Mike) Smith of Jacksonville, NC, his grandchildren Laikin (companion R.J.) Steele of Pilgrims Knob, VA, Christian (companion Kasey Wacker) Smith of Jacksonville, NC and Brayden Smith of Jacksonville, NC, siblings Robert “Bug” (Debbie) Daugherty, Gail Snider, VA, Sue (Carl) Turner all of Rich Creek, VA, Betty (companion Robbie) Daugherty of Princeton, Bonnie of Iaeger, David, Frankie and Eugene Blankenbeckler of Giles County, VA, Fran Smith of NC and Diane Cline of McCarr, KY, a brother-in-law Fred Sorge of Rich Creek, VA, special friends Mark Collins, Kermit Shrader, Carl Shrader and many more, and a host of other loving family and friends.
