"Darrell Glen Gibson, 71, of Ikes Fork, WV, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023 at his home."Darrell was born July 7, 1951 a son of the late Norman and Hazel Brown Gibson. He attended and was a member of the Church of Zion in Ikes Fork, WV.
"In addition to his parents Darrell was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and John Gibson; and one sister, Reta Dominici.
"Survivors include one son, Matthew Gibson and granddaughter, Madison of Statesville, NC; one brother, Mac Gibson of Lillington, NC; and one sister, Lynn Walker of Roderfield, WV.
"In honoring the wishes of the deceased his body has been cremated and there will be no services. He will later be placed with his parents at Iaeger Memorial Cemetery.

"McKinley “Shawn” Hopson III, 47, of Roderfield, WV, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023 at the residence of his fiancé in Big Sandy. Born January 29, 1976 in Welch, he was the son of Peggy Hopson of Roderfield and the late McKinley Hopson Jr.
Shawn was a welder and truck mechanic for B&J Trucking. He was a graduate of Mount View High School and Hobart Institute in Ohio. He was of the Methodist Faith.
In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memories are his fiancé Melissa Bailey of Big Sandy; three sons, Brian Prichard of Gary, Tyler Prichard of Princeton, Josh Prichard of Twin Branch; one daughter, Kayla Prichard of Big Sandy; one brother, Shane Hopson, and wife Vanessa of Oakvale, WV; many grandchildren whom he loved dearly and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 12:00 Noon from the Douglas Mortuary Chapel in Welch. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday one hour prior to the services.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
