Walker, 81, of Steeles Hollow near Hanover, WV, passed away at his home on Monday, March 20, 2023 with his family by his side."Mr. Walker was born January 28, 1942 in Baileysville, WV a son of the late Joe Edward and Della Lester Walker. Bobby was a member of the Pads Fork Freewill Baptist Church, a member of the UMWA and a retired coal miner. He enjoyed listening to the Primitive Quartet, watching westerns, fishing, hunting and being with his family.
"In addition to his parents Bobby was preceded in death by his first wife, Janice Toler Walker; one brother, Roy E. Walker; four sisters, Joann Shepherd, Mayrene Sprouse, Marie Lester and Virginia (Jenny) Cameron.
"Survivors include his wife of 11 years Leona Toler Walker of the home; three children Robert Walker of Turkey Creek, WV, Angie (Lynn) Queen of Georgia, and Gary (Tonya) Walker of Iaeger; one step-son, Eddie (Melissa) Toler of North Carolina; one brother, Lawrence (Patsy) Walker of Iaeger, one sister, Patsy Woolum also of Iaeger, and one sister-in-law, Virgie Walker of Hanover; eleven grandchildren, Chasity (Cory) Tibbetts, Anna (Kevin) Lester, Lori (Jordan) Collins, Adam (April) Walker, Jamie (Jennifer) Walker, Jamie Renee Reynolds, Seaira Parsons, Lee, Madison, Alicia and Anthony; 22 great grandchildren and one on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
"Funeral services will be conducted Saturday March 25, 2023 at 1 o’clock with Reverend Dennis Lester and Reverend Earl Brewer officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger. Burial will follow in the Pads Fork Community Church Cemetery at Pads Fork near Hanover. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews and Allan Sprouse will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

"Born July 3, 1928, in Everst, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Jerry F. and Octavia Messer Hatmaker. She had been a resident of Coalwood the past 37 years and was affiliated with the Protestant faith.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Donald 'Sam' Christian; three brothers, James W. 'Jimmy' Hatmaker, Charles Ray Hatmaker and Danny Hatmaker; and two sisters, Evelyn Christian and Mary Alice Hatmaker.Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Thomas W. (Jeanne) Callaway of Church Hill, Tenn.; two brothers, Albert Hatmaker of Pickerington, Ohio and Randy Hatmaker of Mt. Airy, N.C.; a nephew, whom she raised, Jimmy Hatmaker of Zebulon, N.C.; seven sisters, Mrs. Mabel Absher of Kannapolis, N.C., Mrs. Drena Roberts and Mrs. Susie Blevins, both of Mt. Airy, Mrs. Lola Murray of Richmond, Va., Mrs. Debbie Grose and Mrs. Sheila Blasi, both of Tuscaloosa, Ala. and Mrs. Brenda Webb of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Jennifer A.
