"James Clifford Rose, 57 of Northfork WV, went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2021 at his home after a long illness. He was born on September 9, 1963 in Welch, WV. He was the son of Lewis Clifford Payne and Linda Sue Rose. He was of the Holiness faith and loved his family and close friends."He was proceeded in death by his parents, Lewis Clifford Payne and Linda Sue Rose. Son, Michael Rose. Brothers, Arnold, Harry, Jerry, and Clifford.
"He is survived by his wife, Rachel England Rose. One special sidekick, Jameson Dean Rose. 6 sons, James Jr. and Sara Rose, Donald and Tara Rose, Clifford and Katie Rose, James and Tabby Rose, Carlos and Alex Rose, Allen Rose and Star of Taylorsville, NC. 3 daughters, Crystal and Joe Reeves of Bristol, TN, Amanda Rose, and Tina Rose. One longtime companion and friend, Maxine Rose. 2 Brothers, Lewis Warren Payne and Mary of War, WV, Ronald and Donna Rose. 5 sisters, Annie Rife and Danny of Threeforks, WV. Mary Bailey and companion David Kennedy of War, WV. Frances Underwood and Vernon of Lincolnton, NC. Linda Marie Payne of Lincolnton, NC. Michelle Caskey and Harry of Lincolnton, NC. He also had 12 nieces and nephews and a host of grandchildren.

"In addition to her parents, Alice is also preceded in death by her husband of 29 years: Forrest Dennis Trent; daughters: Barbara Faye “Bobbie” Trent, Betty Jean Surber, Francis Ann “Panky” Kelton; sister: Helen Gibson; brothers: Lee May, Greely Junior May and Jeff May; sons-in-law: Harry Simpson and Larry Kelton.
"Alice enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and attending church. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and she got great joy from spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith.
"Those left to love and cherish her memory are her daughters: Linda Simpson of Illinois, and Edith Marie (Jim) Elmore of Virginia; grandchildren: Lori, Teri, Lisa, Forrest, Connie, Pam and Angie; 12 great grandchildren; her son-in-law, with whom she made her home: Alfred Surber of Gilbert; her caregivers: Lora Cline, Karen Fowler, and Annie Mullins. Alice also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and other dear relatives and friends.
"A private visitation was held Friday, October 30, 2020 at the Mounts Funeral Home Chapel from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, where funeral services commenced at 1:00 pm with Rev. Lowell Smith officiating.
