"In addition to his father, Gary was preceded in death by three brothers, Dewey, and Tommy Parks and Shawn Crouch.
"Survivors include his wife Brenda Parks of the home; one daughter, Kyra Parks of the home; one son, Eric Spence and wife Daisy of Speedwell, VA; two grandchildren Colt and Jasmine Spence of Speedwell, VA; his mother and step father, Doug and Judy Smallwood of Bradshaw, WV; one brother, Lawrence Phillips and wife of Bristol, VA; special friends Austin Cooper and JJ and Ruby Dawson all of Bradshaw; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
"In honoring the wishes of the deceased his body has been cremated.
"A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 2 o’clock with Evangelist Joh Rowe officiating at the Family Worship Center in Jolo, WV.
