"Howard "Fillmore" Dixon, 78, of Clear Fork, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 12,
2015 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. He was born April 29, 1938 in Beeson, WV a son of the late
Howard L. "John" and Josephine Beaver Dixon. Fillmore was a loving husband, father, grandfather and
great grandfather. He was a member of Toneda Missionary Baptist Church, attended the Advent Christian
Church and a member of the UMWA. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife
Nancy Fleenor Dixon and a brother Dudney Dixon. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 8
1/2 years Janet Short Dixon; two children Renee (Ronald) Dixon Brown and Howard F. Dixon, Jr. all of
Jarratt, VA; two grandchildren Ashley (Chris) Brown Page of Jarratt, VA and Austin Noah Dixon of
Emporia, VA; two great grandchildren CJ Page and Drew Page; two step-sons James "Keith" Goins of AL
and Jason Edward (Tracy) Goins of Salisbury, NC; two sisters Judy (Sam) Francis of Glen Fork and Mary
Cline Ellison of Pineville; a brother Ballard (Wilhelmina) Dixon of Oceana; step-grandchildren Erika (Hayes)
Lusk of Clear Fork, Jarrod Goins of Man, Josh Goins and Ashley Goins both of Salisbury, NC; step-great

"Douglas "Rosco" Runyon, 61, of Jesse, WV passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Raleigh General
Hospital, Beckley, WV. He was born on March 28, 1955 in Welch, WV a son of the late Edward Lee and Joan
Lambert Runyon. Rosco was a member of the UMWA. He loved his grandchildren, working on cars and the
sheriff's department. Rosco was always ready to help out anyone. He is preceded in death by his parents .
Survivors include his loving wife Ruby McComas Runyon; a daughter Deanna and Mike Tolliver of Jesse; two
granddaughters Coley and Haley Tolliver of Jesse; two brothers Charlie and Kim Runyon of Turkey Dip and

"Robert Mitchell "Bob" Asbury, 89, of Brenton, WV departed this life on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at his
home. He was born March 6, 1927 in McDowell County, WV the son of the late Thomas Benton and Mary
Jane Muncy Asbury. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Tommy and Bill Asbury. Bob was a former
teacher at Baileysville High School, a member of the WVEA, Masons, the Royal Arch, Bluefield Commander
and Baileysville Baptist Church. He was a US Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. Those left to
cherish his memory are his loving wife of 32 years Mary Edith Baker Asbury; a daughter Dawn Ogilvie of
Winchester, VA; a son Mark Baker of KY; eight grandchildren David (Kristen) Baker, Brittani (Phil) Baker,
