"Jimmy Watts, 62, of Cyclone, WV, departed this life on Saturday December 6, 2014 at his home after an extended illness. He was born on December 13, 1951 in Logan County, WV, a son of Magalene Bailey Watts of Cyclone and the late Harvey Watts. Jimmy was a member of the Bright Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, the UMWA District 17 and a coal miner for 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing. and an avid outdoorsman. In addition to his father he is preceded in death by his daughter Tina Lynn Watts. paternal grandparents Jay and Ada Bailey; maternal grandparents French and Emmzetta Scott Watts; a nephew Jackie "Hobe" Watts; father-in-law Shelly Lusk and two brother-in-laws Homer Daniels and Ross Osborne. Born on April 2, 1941 in Clear Fork, WV a daughter of the late Bernie and Ethel (Bradbury) Short. Janet was employed with the State of West Virginia for 9 years and spent 29 years with the United States Department of Agriculture. Janet was a lifelong member of the Clear Fork Advent Christian Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and treasurer. She was also a member of the Gospel Proclaimers quartet. Janet loved her church and church family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her beloved husband James “Jim” Goins of 40 1/2 years followed by marriage to Howard Dixon. Sisters Geneva (Neva) (Short) Pennington, Ester (Short) Hicks, Joy (Short) Cook and brothers Gene Short, and Clarence (CD) Short.
