John Justice Jr, son of John and Mary moore Justice, was born on 21 Jun
1731 in Halifax, Plymouth Co, MA.
John Justice, Jr. married Mary Sloan; only three children known for certain:
John (a piper at Ft. Rutledge, SC in Rev. War); Simeon (a drummer boy at Ft.
Rutledge, SC) and Nancy.
John Justice, Jr and his sons, John (at age 17) and Simeon (at age 12)
joined the Army for 3 years in 1777.
Ft. Rutledge (located at site of today's Clemson University) was captured by
the British in 1780. John Jr and his sons were on duty in Augusta, GA when
this occured. They were arrested when they returned to the Fort but were
given a pardon on the condition they be discharged from the army.
John, son of John Jr, married Amy Neal; Simeon married Susannah Wade and
Nancy married Edward Wade.
John and Mary Sloan Justice settled near Traveler's Rest, SC. John died
there about 1807; Mary can be found there living with her daughter, Nancy
Justice Wade in the Pendleton District (Greenville County), SC in the 1820
Census.
John and Amy Neal Justice moved to Green Co, GA with in-laws, Neals and
Wades.
Sometime around 1794, John and Amy, along with his brother, Simeon and

Spartanburg, SC; married Keziah Pricey Salisbury, daughter of Richard and
Polly Milton Salisbury, in 1810 on Beaver Creek, Floyd Co, KY

John Justice Jr, son of John and Mary moore Justice, was born on 21 Jun
1731 in Halifax, Plymouth Co, MA.
John Justice, Jr. married Mary Sloan; only three children known for certain:
John (a piper at Ft. Rutledge, SC in Rev. War); Simeon (a drummer boy at Ft.
Rutledge, SC) and Nancy.
John Justice, Jr and his sons, John (at age 17) and Simeon (at age 12)
joined the Army for 3 years in 1777.
Ft. Rutledge (located at site of today's Clemson University) was captured by
the British in 1780. John Jr and his sons were on duty in Augusta, GA when
this occured. They were aressted when they returned to the Fort but were
given a pardon on the condition they be discharged from the army.
John, son of John Jr, married Amy Neal; Simeon married Susannah Wade and
Nancy married Edward Wade.
John and Mary Sloan Justice settled near Traveler's Rest, SC. John died
there about 1807; Mary can be found there living with her daughter, Nancy
Justice Wade in the Pendleton District (Greenville County), SC in the 1820
Census.
John and Amy Neal Justice moved to Green Co, GA with in-laws, Neals and
Wades.
Sometime around 1794, John and Amy, along with his brother, Simeon and
Susanah Wade Justice, moved to Green Co, TN for a 5 year period; then they
moved to Buncombe Co, NC by the 1800 Census. They both moved again about
1807 to Beaver Creek in Floyd Co, KY.

born on 15 Jan 1735 in Halifax, Plymouth Co, MA; married Elizabeth Turley
in Pittsylvania Co, VA; known children: John, Simeon Jr, Thomas and possibly
the Margaret who married Adam Gearhart.
Simeon, Sr died in 1783 in Pittsylvania Co, VA; leaving several small
children. From Pittsylvania Co, VA records, sons John and Simeon, Jr. were
given to Elizabeth's brother, Thomas Turley, to raise. From NC records, son
Thomas was given to his uncle Thomas (Turley?) to raise.On 17 Feb 1800 in Pittsylvania Co, VA, John and Simeon, Jr. asked the court
to appoint William Justice as their guardian to replace Thomas Turley.Simeon, Jr. married Keziah Salisbury with their oldest child being born in
VA in 1802. They moved with in-laws to Beaver Creek in Floyd Co, KY; stayed
there until about 1836 then moved to Tazewell Co, VA (now Buchanan Co, VA).John, Simeon, Jr's brother, married Nancy (Moore?, Short?); moved to Blaine
Creek in Lawrence Co, KY (then still Floyd Co, KY) by 1814 (acquired land
there in that year.Thomas came to Beaver Creek by 1812 where he married Elizabeth Blackburn on
2 Oct 1812; lived there until 1836 when he moved to Logan Co, WV to join two
of his sons, James and Simeon, who were in the logging business. Justice, WV
was named after these Justice's.
