"Hope Vernatter Dotson, 41, of Iaeger, WV went to join her mother and loved ones in Heaven on Wednesday,
April 5, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA after an unexpected illness. She was born
February 14, 1976 in Welch, WV a daughter of the late Freda Vernatter. Hope was a lifelong resident of
McDowell County. She was married to Ricky Dean Dotson for almost 25 years and always referred to him as
the love of her life. She was one of a kind with a heart as big as the moon. She spoke her mind with love and
was always honest and loyal. Hope was as real as it got in a world so hard. She will also be remembered for
her strong WV McDowell county accent that she was proud of. In addition to her mother she is preceded in
death by a very special aunt Juanita Vernatter; Uncle Howard and wife Faye Vernatter; grandparents
Aurthur and Ruby Vernatter; father-in-law Sammy K. Dotson; and special friend Selena Justice. In addition
to her husband survivors include their three children Michael Lee Vernatter and fiancé Tracy Roberts of
Premier; Austin Dean Dotson and fiancé Julie Wade that she also helped raise of Iaeger and the light of her
life a daughter Makiesha Ruby Lagaye Dotson of the home; a special sister whom she helped raise and called
her own Dawn Grace Vernatter and fiancé Randell Robinette of Iaeger; sisters Connie (Harold) Robinette
and Elaine (Jerry) Daugherty all of Iaeger and Michelle Mills of Panther; she was blessed with two
grandsons Connor Vernatter of Premier and Colton Robinette of Iaeger; her special grandbaby girl Gabriella
