"Mary Lou Carroll Elswick, 69, of Shannon Mill Creek, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday,
September 1, 2017 at her home. She was born on November 3, 1947 in Davy, WV the daughter of the late
Edgar and Ada Mae Davis Carroll. Mary was a member the Mill Creek Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to
her parents she is preceded in death by her son James Mills and daughter in law Victoria Mills. Mary Lou
enjoyed spending time with her family, but most of all she loved serving the Lord. Those left to cherish her
memory are her husband of 37 years Kendle Ray Elswick; a daughter Myra Lynn Griffith and husband
Stephen of Shannon Mill Creek; a son Dallas "Nick" Mills and wife Barbara ofMeadow View, VA; many
brothers and sister; an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren; and all her brothers and
sisters in Christ, who were all her family. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday September 8,
2017 at the Mill Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Bailey officiating. In keeping with her
wishes her cremains will be buried in the Trent Cemetery beside her son...."
