"Janet VanDyke Harmon Belcher, 78, of Princeton, formerly of Yukon passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at her home. Born July 5, 1936 in Yukon she was the daughter of the late Graham J. VanDyke and Annie Lawson VanDyke. She was a 1954 graduate of Big Creek High School, and worked for John Boy's Drive-in in War. She was a member of the Yukon Christian Church, and was a volunteer for the Red Cross, RSVP, CASE of WV and other organizations. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Samuel Harmon; a brother, Tommy VanDyke; a sister, Peggy VanDyke Dale; and a son, Paul David Harmon. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Trancy L. Belcher of the home; four sons, Richard VanDyke and wife Teresa of Welch, Daniel Harmon and wife Elizabeth of Alexandria, VA, Samuel Harmon of Springfield, GA, and Phillip Harmon of Rankin, PA; a step-son, Timothy Belcher and wife Joana of Bluefield, VA; a brother, David VanDyke and wife of Hawaii; 4 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted Monday, January 12 at 11 a.m. in the Douglas Mortuary chapel in Welch with the Rev. Teresa VanDyke officiating. "Megan Nichole Slagle, 21, of Thorpe passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 from injuries sustained in a car accident at Hanover, WV. Born March 25, 1993 in Statesville, NC she was the daughter of Harry William "Bill" Slagle of Gary and Rhonda Slagle of Wilkesboro, NC. She was a graduate of Bluefield High School, and was a CNA at the McDowell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Gary. In addition to her parents those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Trinity Grace of the home; a brother, Jeffrey Slagle of Bluewell; a sister, Destiney Slagle of Gary; paternal grandparents, Beverly and Robert Slagle of Gary; maternal grandparents, Sandy Walker and step-father Lee of Welch and Jack Morgan of High Point, NC.; and her fiancée, Thomas Bell of Thorpe. "Jimmy Lee Wolfe, 73, of Warriormine passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021 in Golden Harvest Long Term Care, Welch.
Born November 24, 1947 in War he was the son of the late Evangeline Honaker Wolfe and Guy Buckles Wolfe. He was a former coal miner, and of the Pentecostal faith. He was an artist and loved to paint pictures.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Bettye Jean Wingo; and two brothers, Guy Edward Wolfe and Billy Eugene Wolfe.
Those left to cherish his memory are his only surviving sibling Linda Wolfe Hoffman of Gray, TN., and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmy has been cremated and the family will honor his memory at a later date.

Born October 2, 1931 in Caretta she was the daughter of the late Andy Tokoch and Mary Dedrick Tokoch. She was a 1950 graduate of Big Creek High School, and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in War. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Berosh; two brothers, John Tokoch and Andy Tokoch; and one sister, Katie Christian. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael Berosh of War; and her daughter, Mary Vestal of Newton, NC; and 3 grand children and numerous great grandchildren.
