Adeline was born October 6, 1946, in Paynesville, WV, a daughter of the late Shurles and Georgia Mae Allen. She was a minister for 38 years and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Taylor, one son, Jeffery Scott Keen, grandson Scotty Shelton and one sister Geraldine Church. Survivors include two daughters, Jennifer Shelton of Davy and Melissa Taylor of Premier; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren; one brother Roger Allen; and one sister, Audrey Alderman. "HAMPTON, Ga. — Beulah Faye Akers, 57, of Hampton, formerly of Twin Branch, went home to be with her Lord Dec. 9, 2005 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia, following a brief illness.
She was born April 27, 1948 in Welch, the daughter of Alvis Lester of Jonesville, Va.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pearl Fletcher Lester; one brother, William Lester; and one sister, Rachael Payne."In addition to her father, surviving her is her husband of 41 years, Bill Akers Sr. of the home; five sons, Richard and Cathy Akers of Abbs Valley, Va., Billy and Elisabeth Akers, Darrell and Stephanie Akers, David and Sharon Akers, all of Hampton, Michael and Mary Akers of Abbs Valley; five sisters, Louise Carver of Jonesville, Goldie Adkins of King Mountain, N.C., Evelyn Rowe of Hampton, Hope Lambert of Welch, Audrey Collins of Capels; seven grandchildren, Justin, Alesha, Mikey, Kayla, Christopher, Keri and Hannah.
"Funeral services will be conducted at noon Tuesday at Fanning Funeral Home in Welch with the Rev. Matthew Stacy and Brother Bob Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the New Community Cemetery at Asco.
