Born on January 27th, 1957 in Pageton, WV, he recently retired after 44 years in the coal mines. He was the son of the late Drew and Viola (Harmon) Rose. He is survived by his wife Ramona (Bowles) Rose, son Billy Rose of Bluefield, VA, daughter Julie Bishop(John) of Charlotte, NC, grandchildren Blake, Braydon, Cartland, Marae, and Graylee, sisters Grace Monitor (Charles) of Nemours, WV, Dona Shavatt (Michael) of Silver Springs, Maryland, Patricia Dillon (John) North Tazewell, VA, brothers Carl Junior Rose of Alexandria, VA, Sylvester Rose (Louella) of Pageton, WV, Bill Rose (Dianne) of Pageton, WV, many nieces, nephews, and cousins."Doug, a.k.a “Fred” was a husband, a father, a Papaw.
