Wednesday January 27, 2016 at her home. She was born March 17, 1932 in Mallory, WV a daughter of the late Aulbert and Mila Cline Short. Mary was a member of the Matoaca Baptist Church and the Matheny Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband Isaac Maurice Bailey; second husband Jess Stewart; and two sisters Mabel and Athlene. Survivors include two daughters Diana Bailey of Dinwiddie, VA and Nancey Zymantas of Chicago, IL; four sons Glenn Bailey of Chesterfield, VA, Randy Bailey of Chicago, IL, Larry (Janet) Bailey of Chicago, IL and David Bailey of Columbus, OH; a sister Violet (Stanley) Stone of Lexington, NC; a brother Ronnie Short of Lexington, NC; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday January 31, 2016 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Rev. Michael Dent officiating.
