"Alfred L. Adams, 57, of Hendersonville, died unexpectedly Saturday, April 15, 2006.
"He was born April 26, 1948, in Ashland, W.Va., a son of the late Willie and Elizabeth Hoover Adams.
"Mr. Adams was a retired psychiatric security aide for Mayview State Hospital.
"He enjoyed fishing, music and making videotapes.
"Mr. Adams was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the 101st Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.
"On December 25, 1970, he married Donnette Brooks, who survives.
"Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa Adams of Washington; a son, Donald Adams of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Harvey and Bernard Adams, both of Washington; two sisters, Mary Ann Adams of Toledo, Ohio and Martha Tyler of Hendersonville; and 10 grandchildren.
