Born on March 6, 1940, to the late John and Clara (Woody) Hicks. She spent her formative years in Paynesville, West Virginia.Leah was married to Tommy Hagerman on April 19, 1958, in Paynesville. The couple moved to Indiana in 1998. He preceded her in death on October 1, 2007. Leah was married to Moses Griffey, on October 30, 2010.After raising 12 of her children she earned her GED, a business degree and finally her LPN license. She worked as a LPN for Avalon and Kingston Nursing Homes for over 30 years, retiring in April of 2020.Leah was a devoted "Old Regular Baptist Christian," for 66 years. She was a loving wise wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a friend and Light to everyone who met her. She enjoyed reading the Bible and loved having her children around her. She held the family together with her love. The strength and hero of each of their lives. "She was an Eagle when she flies". "Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 2, 2018, at 1 o’clock with Brothers Elwood Cornett, James Sloan, Mike Smallwood, Willie Sloan, Toby Bailey, Junior Ruggles, Larry Haggert, and Willard Hicks officiating at the Little Flock Old Regular Baptist Church on Rockridge near Paynesville. Burial will follow in the Hagerman Cemetery on Petticoat Junction Road near Paynesville. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

"Nolan Larry Mullins, 71, longtime resident of Garland, WV, passed away February 23, 2018, in Pikeville, KY."Nolan was born at home in Roderfield, WV, on February 28, 1946, to Robert Seth and Nannie Jones Mullins. Nolan was a 1963 graduate of Iaeger High School where he was a honor student as well as a member of the wrestling team. After graduation he went on to study business at the National Business College in Bluefield, WV.
"Nolan worked at Jones and Laughlin Steel, and also worked at a meat-packing plant in Indianapolis, IN. He was a McDowell County firefighter for years. Nolan also worked as a miner at Maitland, Holley Fuel and other surrounding mines. Later, he managed and ran his parents' country store, Mullins Grocery, in Garland, WV.
"Nolan was an excellent guitarist and a prolific songwriter; recording his music and often performing in Whitesburg, KY. His music was played on radio stations across several states. Besides playing music he enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He took pleasure in organic gardening and spending time outdoors. Nolan was an avid reader and loved challenging himself with puzzle books. He was a longtime member of Indianapolis 669 Masonic Lodge.
"Nolan was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Seth and Nannie Jones Mullins. He leaves behind two sons, Larry Dena Mullins and wife Jacqueline of Plainfield, IN and Michael David Mullins and wife Yuki of Charlestown, IN; five grandchildren, Rebekah Wuethrich and husband Tim of Osain, IN, Lauren Mullins stationed in Jacksonville, FL, Larry Jr. stationed in Bahrain, Victoria Mullins of Plainfield, IN and David Jr. of Charlestown, IN; two great granddaughters, Guinevere and Caroline Wuethrich of Osain, IN; two sisters, Linda Faye and husband Burley, of Lebanon, VA and Darlene Rowe of Avondale, WV; three brothers, Terry Mullins of Gilbert, WV, Benny Mullins and wife Jennifer of Jolo, WV; and Noah Mullins and wife Nikia of Garland, WV; several loving nieces and nephews and many, many dear friends.

"Chrissy Dawn Lester, 38, of Iaeger, WV, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, March 28, 2018, following a short illness."Chrissy was born November 7, 1979, in Princeton, WV, a daughter of Charles “Peanut” and Patsy Morgan Lester. She was a 1998 honor graduate of Iaeger High School, were she was a Varsity Cheerleader. Chrissy also attended the McDowell Vocational School and received her nursing license. She worked at the E.K. Whitley Clinic in Iaeger and at Welch Community Hospital and attended the Rt. 52 Church of God in Iaeger, WV.
