Martha worked as a housekeeper, she never met a stranger and was a supporter of the Iaeger Cubs. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she loved all her family, friends, and children in the community.

He retired from the Department of Highways as a heavy equipment operator. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a graduate of NorthFork high school in 1967; where he held several football records; he attended Bluefield State College on a football scholarship. He loved N.A.S.C.A.R. racing especially Dale Earnhardt. He loved trains and was an avid history buff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Alfred "Stovepipe" Britton, and his special K-9 companion, Chloe May. Survivors include, his wife of forty three years, Sharon Jones of the home, one daughter, Robin Jones of Princeton WV, whom he referred to as his girls. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, January 11, 2016 at 11 A.M. "Waymon McKinney, 76, of Covel, died 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2001, at Princeton Community Hospital following a long illness."Born Nov. 5, 1924, at Crumpler, he was the son of the late Rev. Leonard McKinney and Carri Bailey McKinney.
Mr. McKinney was a retired coal mine electrician and a member of the UMWA. He had been a resident of Covel for the past 20 years and was of the Baptist faith.
