"Born Sept. 12, 1932, in Davy, he was the son of the late Treely and Lucinda Bailey Burchette. "Mr. Burchette worked as an engineer for Dominion Gas. Co. for 38 years. After retiring, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and, most of all, ballgames of any kind. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan. He served in the U.S. Armed Forces as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. "Left to cherish his memory includes three brothers, James Burchette and his wife, Miriam, of Pineville, Edward Burchette and his wife, Jill of Baileysville and Eugene Burchette of Pineville; two sisters, Juanita Growe of Pineville and Joyce Miller of Pineville; nine nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. "He was a person that was not easy to forget and very dear to all who knew him.
