" PRINCETON — Christine Bailey, 79, of Princeton, died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, Va. Born July 13, 1931 at Arista, she was the daughter of the late Frank Harrison Bodenheimer and Lula Ann Graham Bodenheimer."Mrs. Bailey was a member of Shawnee Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church in Princeton. She was a member of DMA, Senior Friends, Farm Family and RSVP. She enjoyed playing guitar and singing and had fun picking at people and making them laugh. She loved her family and friends and never met a stranger.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband of 44 years, Raymond Reed in 1995; second husband of nine years, Basil L. Bailey in 2007; an infant son, Willie Reed; two brothers, Kenneth Bodenheimer and Ray Bodenheimer; and five sisters, Cynthia Folden, Gertha Paris, Zona Kuwik, Arlene Little and Faye Colbert.
"Survivors include four sons, Wayne Reed and his wife Elouise of Elgood, Lonnie A. Reed of Garwood, Dale Reed and his wife Robin of Wright Mountain and Larry G. Reed and his wife Becky of Oceana; three daughters, Hazel Jewell and her husband Jason of Herndon, Carol Lusk and her husband Eugene of Lashmeet and Lula McKinney and her husband Rickey of Fairmont; two sisters, Rosie Denton of Statesville, N.C. and Mary Hartwell of Tennessee; one brother, Garnold Bodenheimer of Augusta, Ga.; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
"Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Rowland H. Bailey Funeral Chapel of the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Bennie Burgess officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Corporal Ryan Stinson of West Virginia State Police will be leading the funeral procession. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
