"Alissa Gail Browning, 41, of Cyclone, WV went to her Heavenly home on Saturday September 11, 2021 at UK Good Samaritan Hospital, Lexington, KY. She was born on April 15, 1980 in Beckley, WV, a daughter of Bradley Gene and Teresa Gail Brown Browning. Alissa was a 1998 graduate of Oceana High School, graduated from Southern West Virginia Community College and Lyndsey Wilson College with a Bachelor of Science Degree, Teacher's Aide for the Wyoming County Board of Education and attended the Cyclone Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving, compassionate daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a great love for her family and cherished them very much. She also had a love for her school children, her church, and a passion for Christ. Her kindness and Christianity always showed in her daily life, at home, and towards others. Alissa was a generous, kindhearted person and was always willing to help others and go beyond expectations. She was a motherly example to children in every aspect of her life, including her nephew Uriah, her cousins, the church kids, and her school children. She had a passion and love for dolphins, swimming, and the beach. Alissa’s life will not be forgotten because of her impact on so many lives. Her love, laughter, and smile will always be remembered. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Clifford D. and Verna J. Toler Browning, and Shelby L. and Alma R. Elkins Brown and many loving uncles, aunts, and cousins. In addition to her parents survivors include a sister Kendra Browning Keeney and husband Steven of Oceana, a special nephew Uriah Keeney, other nephews and a niece Owen Keeney, Mazie Keeney and Alex Keeney, uncles and aunts Glen R. Browning and wife Betsy, Gary Browning and wife Sherlene, Clifford "Tip" Browning, Patricia Gail Brown, Shirley Brown and wife Zettie, Charlotte Brown Curry, Kathy Griffin and husband James "Bo", and Shelia Brown and a host of other loving cousins, family and friends. Although she had no children she was blessed to love so many and be loved by so many of them. She will be laid to rest in Lily of the Valley Cemetery, Oceana, WV.
