"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters: Vickie Elaine Patterson and an infant daughter; son: Kevin Bowling Patterson; and two sisters: Edith Vance Smith and Nancy Carol Vance.

"While she enjoyed these things, her greatest joy was caring for her husband and children.

of the Big Cub Missionary Baptist Church in Coal Mountain. She was talented at flower
arranging and decorating, as well as many hobbies. Patty was a 1962 graduate of Baileysville
High School and retired from the Wyoming County Board of Education as a cook at Coal
Mountain and Baileysville Elementary and Middle Schools. She was a kindhearted, generous
of spirit and loved her Heavenly Father. In addition to her parents her sister Linda Collings
also preceded her in death. Patty leaves behind her beloved husband Wesley Adkins, whom
she married on January 25, 1964; a daughter Jennifer Harding of Kernersville, NC; a son John
Adkins of Loris, SC; one grandson Michael Adkins of Tampa, FL; two granddaughters
Samantha Harding of Franklin, NC and Amber Johnson of Loris, SC; three great
