"Fred Wayne Bourne, 73 of Bluefield, VA, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017 at his home. He was the son of the late Arthur and Josephine Bourne. He had proudly served his country in the 101st Airbourne during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded numerous medals, including 2 purple hearts. Fred enjoyed fishing and watching his grandson play Bluefield Beaver football. He was a loving father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Nancy Osbourne, Nora Hawkins and Juanita Coon.
"He will be lovingly missed by his children: Adam Bourne and Jason Bourne of Bluefield, WV, Amanda Williams, Bobby Bourne and Tina Kittner all of Alabama, Kim Hensley (Jeff) of Bluefield, VA, Brian Caldwell (Lori) of Pocahontas; best friend: Carla Bourne; sister: Margaret Melvin of Tazewell, VA; grandchildren: Faith Rasi, Santana Bourne, RJ Bourne, Tessa Bourne, Hailey Bourne, Gavin Crawford and Erica Williams.
