"Joseph Dewayne Blankenship, 52, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at his home. He was born on January 28, 1969 in Welch, WV. He was a son of the late Ola Glen "Buck" and Glenda Garnell Morgan Blankenship. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Eric Glen Blankenship a step sister Melissa and two step brothers Junior and Russell. Survivors include his daughter, Ashley Alberty, his son Joseph Jr. Blankenship and his nephew, Dylan seven aunts, Delphia Blach of VA, Vivian Janasiak of IL, Aretta Chatham of VA, Donna Clay, Anita Lusk and Marcella Blevins all of Oceana also, Virginia Cochran and uncle Iryon “Bo” Blankenship, of WV. Those that also mourn his loss include his dear companion, Erica Acord of Oceana and special friend, Shannon Barlow of Clear Fork, who he considered as his brother along with a host of cousins, and other loving family and friends. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date. The family is being served by the Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV."
