"Byron David “Dave” Farley, 79, of Mullens passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley."Born January 6, 1939 at Mullens, he was the son of the late Lloyd Henry and Essie Belle (Reid) Farley.
"Dave was a former Hostler on the Railroad, member of the Mullens Moose Lodge #750, and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. In his leisure he enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and was an avid sports fan of the West Virginia Mountaineers, Cleveland Browns, and the LA Dodgers.
"In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother, Donald Farley.
"Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Drema Farley; two daughters, Joi Adkins and her husband, Damon and Kim Bonds and longtime companion, Winston Smith, II; one son, David Farley and his wife, Tonya; six grandchildren, Tyler and Derek Farley, Zach Foster, Samantha Adkins, Emma Adkins, and Josh Bonds; one sister, Joyce Scott; and one brother, Lloyd “Sonny” Farley, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn.
