Nannie was best known as a great cook and the most requested dish was her Chicken and Dumplings. You never left her home hungry. She enjoyed raising her garden (which was the size of a football field), canning her harvest and then sharing the fruits of her labor with family and friends.
"In addition to her parents, Nannie was preceded in death by her husband Arthur "Ott" Adkins, brothers Luther and Auldie McComas, sisters Mazie Lane and Laura Lane.
