"Oakley J. Bailey, 30, of Maybeury, died at 2:05 yesterday afternoon at the Bluefield sanitarium of
complications developing from an attack of appendicitis on April 2.
"Funeral servies wiil be held at th home of his mother, Mrs. Amanda Bailey, Maybeury, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and will be conducted by the Rev. Mr. Simpspn, of Bramwell. Internment will be in Houxks cemetery at Peel Chestnut.
"Active pallbearers: John Orlic, Joe Smarlavik, Everette Evans, Phillip Sheppherd, Noah Smith, Harry Wolf, Roger Watkins, and Joe Bailey.
"Flower bearers: Misses Amanda Sheppherd, Allie Little, Maxine Walker, Ruth Lawrence, May Garbisch, Ruby Litte, Bessie and Elsie Hedrick.
"Mr Baily is survided by his mother, six brothers and two sisters. L.R., D.P., Ellis; Tallie; William and Edward Bailey; Misses Nora and Andrea Baily, all of Maybeury. His father preceded him to the grave. The Bailey family have been residents of Maybeury for about twenty-five years and are well known in that region."
