"Donald loved being outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, when his health allowed him to do so. He was a disabled coal miner and a member of the UMWA and NRA.
"In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Diane McCoy and children, Kimberly McCoy and Donald McCoy Jr, all of whom perished in the Buffalo Creek flood. His granddaughter, Emma Grace McCoy and sisters, Lillian White, Linda Cole and Shelia Egnor also preceded him in death.
